My First Anniversary
Puimac Consulting is one year old!

January 2025 - First Anniversary of Puimac Consulting
January marks a special milestone as I celebrate the first anniversary of my governance consulting business, Puimac Consulting. And what a year it has been!
I ventured into business ownership and entrepreneurship, gaining invaluable lessons along the way. I spent significant time in Victoria, Vancouver, and even took a trip to Toronto, connecting with many of you to discuss the challenges directors and management currently face as I explored how I could add value.
Some of you became my clients, while many others—often people who didn’t know me well—became my cheerleaders and guides as I navigated the highs and lows of stepping outside the corporate comfort zone. Your support helped me narrow my focus to my experience in the boardroom. |
Thank you for being part of this journey. I couldn’t have done it without your encouragement and guidance.
Over the past year, I worked with clients to:
🥳 Refocus their board reporting, governance frameworks, and director onboarding presentations, aligning them with key board responsibilities and significant oversight areas.
🥳 Refresh reporting expectations from their investment service providers to eliminate bulk and prioritize information that added value and was relevant to their oversight role.
🥳 Transform board handbooks and key policies, clarifying board-management roles for greater efficiency.

What else did I do in 2024?
I joined a few boards, including the B.C. Passenger Transportation Board, Clean Prosperity, and Project Change Foundation. I also helped launch a local seniors’ community centre (which I don’t qualify to attend 😉).
Additionally, I guided a legal department in building a strategic plan, presented on improving board reporting, attended courses and conferences, and enjoyed some incredible vacations—with and without my family—to South Africa, Bali, and Saskatchewan.
Thank you for making 2024 such an interesting and fulfilling year.
